Wall Art
I was making my patinated Lazy Susans, and people kept telling me that they "look like art" and that I should make art pieces ... so I did! And thus was born my patinated steel art collection.
I start with 1/8" thick (16-gauge) raw steel plates of various shapes and sizes, which I then treat with solutions to create predictable and unpredictable patterns. No two pieces are exactly alike.

Discover the artistry behind my unique pieces, crafted through the intricate process of chemical etching. With copper sulfate as the primary agent, I provoke reactions with the base steel, resulting in stunning patterns that are truly one-of-a-kind. By experimenting with various chemicals, application techniques, and environmental factors, I can create a diverse array of designs. While some can be reminiscent of one another, each piece stands as a distinct artistic statement.

Each piece has a wire hanger securely attached to the back. The smaller pieces are also suitable for displaying on a shelf or console table, using a plate stand.
